About Us

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District, which includes Grossmont College and Cuyamaca College, serves over 20,000 students each semester in the East County region of San Diego County for 65 years, offering hundreds of programs and student services tailored to meet diverse needs. The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is the largest institution of higher education in East County, and the District’s annual economic impact on the region is more than $1.3 billion. East County voters approved the District’s Proposition V bond measure in 2012, which enabled the District to make major upgrades, build the Grossmont College Performing and Visual Arts Center and renovate the Science, Math & Career Technology complex. Cuyamaca College has a new award-winning Student Services Center, and a renovated the Ornamental Horticultural Complex.
Grossmont College offers more than 150 degree and certificate programs. Premiere programs draw students from across the county, and include allied health, nursing, and culinary arts, administration of justice, science, fine and performing arts, and drone technology. Cuyamaca College offers over 165 degree and certificate programs. Specialized programs include innovative green-energy programs, including water/wastewater technology, automotive technology, engineering, graphic design, ornamental horticulture, environmental health and safety management, and paralegal studies.
