Description
The Water Conservation Garden invites the public to its second annual Water-Wise Home Garden Tour. The self-guided tour will highlight five beautiful gardens, located in East County utilizing an array of color, variety, and low water usage. Learn about using native, succulents, cacti and Mediterranean plants and how you can design your yard for low water usage plants. The gardens emphasize plants from semi-arid regions of the world including Australia, New Zealand, Southwestern U.S. and South Africa.
Succulent cuttings from many of the home tours will be on sale, as well as other garden/home items such as bird houses, plant pots and garden jewelry, all handmade by local artisans. The homeowners will be on-hand to talk with attendees and Clayton Tschudy, The Garden’s Director of Horticulture, will be available to talk about how easy it is to re-design their own landscape using low-water usage plants.
